I believe the hands on approach this assignment took was a good way to learn how to make maps with UAS processed data.

I already took Remote Sensing so I understood what some of the settings were actually doing but if someone had not previously taken that class it would be useful to actually understand what some of the input and processing settings were actually doing.

Following a tutorial step for step helps expose a user to a program and what the program does but it does not help a lot of the information learned stick in the brain. I could probably repeat the process but I didn't really understand the point of some of the steps.

Already having experience with Pix4d from a previously made incorporating GCP's easy and approachable. I understand what the GCP's do and how they are very valuable to UAS data.
Processing Multispectral Imagery:

The lab layout provided enough instruction to be able to complete the lab and understand what i was doing. Prior knowledge of remote sensing also helped this process.
Calculating Volumetrics using UAS Derived Data:

This lab was more difficult but the lab layout and in-class instruction made it understandable and a great learning tool. I feel that I learned a lot about volumetrics in Arcmap and Pix4d.

The hands on learn as you go approach to this lab was the best way to do it. It was not a difficult process but it takes a lot of time.

Already having most of the semester of UAS under the belt, this lab was laid out in a way that was easy to understand and helped me retain a lot of knowledge about mission planning. One way to make this better would be to actually plan some missions out that we do in the field.
